Asphalt complete

Finished today with the asphalt by laying the 8" at the DOT right of way and checking for any low spots.

The first bit of topping going over the base.

All done, except the dot entrance.

My family talking a tour of the new parking lot.

Checked many areas with water to ensure that everything drained.

Over 8" at the DOT right of way.

All adjacent surfaces were properly tacked.

The second of three lifts at the entrance.

The machine that was "too close" to the road. Although it is hard to tell from the picture, the machine was over 4' from the road. They parked it there so that nobody would enter onto the new asphalt.

All done.

Roof is started

The roofer started the shingles this week. He is almost done and should finish tomorrow.

Using the vertical column method and the Miami-Dade method with 6 nails per shingle.

Sealing the shingles to the valley metal

Valley metal correctly overlapping and being sealed.

Straight lines from chalk lines.

Looking down valley. Due to perception, it looks like the valley metal does not taper, but it does.

Looking up the valley metal. Taper more noticeable.

Concrete curb is almost done

A majority of the curb has been poured. We are currently pouring the last island and the other side of the street entrance. We only have to pour a straight section in front of the pavilion and at the curb drains.

Roughing in all trades

Now that the temporary roof is on, all the trades are working to finish the interior walls to get things up to the attic space.

Most of the plumbing is roughed into the bathrooms and serving areas.

Drywall is hung in the inspected and insulated attic space. Sprinkler pipe and ductwork is starting to be suspended from the ceiling in the mezzanine.

Ductwork is being hung starting in e lower areas all working back up to the mezzanine.

Curb is poured around most of the parking areas.
